TOP 10 PLACES TO VISIT IN JAIPUR

My greetings to everyone. Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, India. It is said that even in the air of Jaipur, India’s history can be felt. Jaipur is that city where there are many forts and ancient buildings. The architecture of such heritage sites of Jaipur is famous worldwide. From all around the world,  domestic and international tourists visit Jaipur every year. And this is a place filled with the true culture of India. So, today in this blog we will tell you about  10 such places in Jaipur that you must not miss visiting.

 Number 10 -

Birla Temple. Jaipur’s Birla Temple is also famous by the name of Lakshmi Narayan Temple. It is one of the Birla Temples situated all around India. Birla Temple is located at the Tilak Marg in Jaipur near Moti Dangari Hills. It was built in 1988 by BM Birla Foundation. And this entire temple is built with white marble. Birla Temple is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. India’s biggest festivals like Diwali and Janmashtmi are celebrated at Birla Mandir. The timings to visit are from  8:00 AM to 12:00Noon and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It will take you approximately half-hour to visit Birla Temple. And there are no entry fees to visit there

Number 9 -  

World Trade Park. World Trade Park located on Jaipur’s Jawaharlal Nehru Marg which is the biggest mall in Jaipur. The best thing about this mall is that you will get everything at reasonable prices here. World Trade Park is famous for its variety of markets like  Dubai Bazaar, Meena Bazaar, Fashion Street, and the food court. Every tourist who visits Jaipur definitely visits World Trade Park because from here you can buy souvenirs or gifts for your family.  Do not come to this shop with your kids. I would buy you something if you demand something good. What’s this? Kitchen Set, all the time! The timings for World Trade Park are from 9:30AM to 10:30PM. And it remains open for all 7 days in a week. It might take you from 2-3 hours to visit this place. And the entry to World Trade Park is also free of cost. 

Number 8 - 

Jaigarh Fort. Jaigarh Fort was built by King Sawai Jai Singh II in 1726 AD. Jaigarh Fort, situated 500 meters above sea level. And it gives you a panoramic view of Jaipur. And Jaigarh Fort has the world’s biggest canon which is known as Jawana Fort. There are many other attractions at Jaigarh Fort like  Lakshmi Villa, Lalit Mandir, Aaram Mandir, and Villa Mandir. Jaigarh Fort is made of Sandstone and it is spread across an area of 3 km. Jaigarh Fort was made for the safety of Amer Fort and it is also known as Victory Fort. The timings of Jaigarh Fort are from 10:00 AM to 5:00PM. And it might take you approximately 2-3 hours to visit this fort. The ticket to Jaigarh Fort for Indians is 35 rupees and for tourists, it costs 85 rupees.

Number 7 - 

Nahargarh Fort. Nahargarh Fort is situated in Aravalli Hills of Jaipur,  from where you can have a view of the entire Jaipur city There was a time when along with Amer fort and Jaigarh fort,  Nahargarh Fort was also included in the defense ring of Jaipur city. It is said that this fort is named after Nahar Singh Bhomia whose soul still roams across the fort. For providing peace to the soul of Nahar Ji,  a temple has also been built there.  The timings to visit Nahargarh Fort are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. And it could take you 2-3 hours to visit this fort as well. The ticket here costs 50 rupees for Indians and for foreigners it costs 200 rupees. And by giving some extra money,  you can also have access to a special guide here. 

Number 6 - 

Jal Mahal. While looking at Jal Mahal,  it doesn’t seem like you are watching Jal Mahal instead it feels as if you are watching its shadow. This amazing Fort can be seen floating on the Mansagar Lake of Jaipur.  And this is the only tourist attraction of Jaipur where you will feel peace and the beauty of the place. Although every Fort has its own story it is believed that Jal Mahal is as much underwater as much as it is above water. 4 floors of Jal Mahal are underwater. As a tourist, you can’t go inside of Jal Mahal but many businessmen want to turn Jal Mahal into a restaurant. So, it might occur in the near future. What’s your opinion on this guys? Anuj, this place is very happening during evening hours, right? Yes, it is a very happening place during evening hours. We aren’t enjoying it here right now but still, we are your servants so we will definitely explore this place. It’s a not-to-miss place in Jaipur. 

Number 5 - 

 Jantar Mantar. In Sanskrit, Jantar means ‘to calculate’ and Mantar means ‘Machine’. So the literal meaning of the Jantar Mantar is the Calculating Machine. And the fact that this machine works to date is astonishing. Jantar Mantar is world heritage site by UNESCO,  spread across an area of 18,700 square meters. Jantar Mantar is situated very near to the City Palace and Hawa Mahal. And for every tourist who visits Jaipur,  Jantar Mantar is a very amazing site. We would suggest that if you are visiting Jantar Mantar then do hire a private guide before coming here. Because the private guide could tell you a lot about the structure and history of this place. The timings to visit Jantar Mantar is from 9am to 4:30pm. And it will take you 1.5-2 hours to visit this place as well. The ticket costs 50 rupees for Indians and 200 rupees for foreigners.

Number 4 -

City Palace, Jaipur. City Palace, Jaipur was built in 1727 and it is a very beautiful and amazing monument that is covered by gardens and courtyards on all 4 sides. City Palace is an amazing example of Rajasthani and Mughal Architecture. There are many other places inside of City Palace that is very famous like Mubarak Mahal where they have kept a very beautiful collection of costumes and textiles. The armory where you will get to see the weapons and equipment of the Mughal reign. Pritam Niwas Chowk where there is such a door that seems to be made up of feathers. Diwan-E-Aam from where the king used to solve the problems of the general public. This place is called Diwan-E-Aam. This place where we are standing right now,  the King used to sit here only and the public sat there and the King used to provide solutions to people who used to turn up with problems. City palace is a perfect place for photography if you are a photography freak. The timings are from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It will take you approximately 2-3 hours to visit this place. And the ticket costs 130 rupees for Indians and  500 rupees for foreigners. 

Number 3 - 

Pink City. Pink City is a wonderful place for shopaholic people. When you will be heading towards Hawa Mahal then on the way you will come across Pink city where you can get authentic dresses, Jaipuri Saree, and along with that you can enjoy the famous food of Jaipur,  Dal Bati Choorma, Pyaaz Kachori and Mirch Pakoda. Oh, so this is the pyaaz Kachori? This is aloo pyaaz Kachori with curry. Oh, so it’s aloo pyaaz. Yes it is stuffed with aloo pyaaz and when you will smell and taste that flavor with the aroma of aloo pyaaz  then you will be amazed. This market is very much famous for its infrastructure and every building is painted with pink color in the Pink City. Pink City is one of the biggest markets in Asia. The timings to visit Pink City is from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. And there is no time limit to visit the market,  you can spend as much time as you want. There are no fees for entry to Pink City, it’s free of cost.

Number 2 - 

Hawa Mahal. Hawa Mahal, also famous by the name of Palace of Winds is made up of red and pink sandstone. This Palace was built by King Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 AD. And the grandson of Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh is the founder of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal has 953 small windows which are known as ‘Jharoka’. And the motive to build these windows was that the Queens living in this palace could see the city from there. And during summers, a cold breeze used to enter from these windows which kept the entire Palace cool. Hawa Mahal is also an amazing place for photography. That’s why many pre-wedding shoots are captured here. Look, how the pre-wedding shoot is going on at Hawa Mahal. Here and there. The timings to visit Hawa Mahal are from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. It will take you 1 hour to visit this place. The tickets cost 10 rupees for Indians and 50 rupees for foreigners. 

Number 1 -

Amer fort. Amer Fort, also famous by the name of Amber Fort was built in 1592 by King Mansingh. King Mansingh, who was a Rajput commander of Akbar’s army. Later this fort was extended by King Jai Singh I. This Fort, situated 11kms away from Jaipur is the pride of Jaipur. Situated near Martha Lake,  this fort is an amazing example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. Amer fort has many other buildings and courtyards like the palace of Man Singh I,  Diwan-E-Aam, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Mahal,  Tripoli gate, and Lion’s gate. It is said that your Jaipur’s trip will be incomplete if you didn’t visit Amer Fort. Just because Amer Fort is situated on a hill that’s why a taxi is the best way to reach there or you can reach there by using an elephant ride in the early morning. The timings are from 9:30am to 4:30pm. And it will take you 2-3 hours to visit this fort. The tickets cost 100 rupees for Indians and 500 rupees for foreigners.
